Hi Jordan - I wish you and the rest of y'all's good luck this coming spring season. You're cawing does sound natural and realistic. I can caw vocally as well with the same technique, but I do prefer my wooden crow call that I bought years ago at a hunting shop, just east of Morgantown, West Virginia.
I limit my caws to three in succession as a shock gobble locater. I believe that one of Bill Jordan's turkey hunting buddies said that a hunter should limit the caws to three, because the gobbler might shock gobble after the third caw. If you're still cawing after the third caw...you might not hear his shock gobble.
My ploy sounds like a crow that has just discovered an owl or a hawk: Cawuuugh, CAW CAW!!!
Cheers,
Erno

yep exactly right! I have captions on the video that talks about only doing shorts sequences so that you dont call when he shock gobbles. It doesnt show up if you view from phone
