Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Toms starting to display

I have several Toms starting to fan and show off for
the hens today in my field. It's still a long way until
spring in Maine but a couple unusually warm days in a
row have them feeling frisky. Anyone else seeing this?

I never saw any up this way starting to strut any.. We did have some pretty warm days here as well. We still have some snow in some of our fields and the ice storms had given them a hard time finding food. We have them walking up and down our roads looking for some food now. So I went and bought a bag of corn today to try and help some of them out. I am not sure if or when they will hit it. When they do they will most likely hang around for more. If so I will start fattening some up for spring I hope..
