Default Opinions on knight & hale pot call

Has anyone used the yella hammer ceramic? If so does it sound good and is it well made?

That was my first ever turkey call. When I first purchased it I thought it sounded great...today not so much. It's about ten years old now so I'm not sure if that has something to do with the sound quality being lost. For a production call, I don't think it's a bad choice. Just my opinion.

Thinking back, my call was actually the Sla-Tek. Very similar.

Thanks Rpd. You confirmed what I thought. I didn't think it sounded good compared to my custom calls. Thought maybe it was just the call I tried but have heard some bad reviews on this call.

I'm a custom call man my self... I've got a plastic pot friction call that I love... It's based on the dd Adams style and I've killed more 3 year old Gobbler with that call than any of my custom calls!!!

It doesn't take a 100$$ custom call to kill turkeys

Thumbs up

I still have mine as well, the K&H Ol' Yeller SLA-TEK call. Finicky with certain strikers, but still sounds good to my ears!!! Still keep it in my vest too!!

I do have an acrylic pot / crystal surface production call that sounds great but it was only $5 less than my custom calls. I ended up going custom with the ceramic, for $40 dollars I couldn't pass it up. Canary wood / ceramic and it looks and sounds awesome.
