Default 7 bearded merriams

My first south dakota merriams was a good one. 7 beards, 22lbs.

Had 50 birds come in and we shot 4 toms out of the group.

Congrats on your turkey! It sure sounds like a nice.. I agree though I would like to be able to see all those beards as well.

This shows 5 of them clearly. The 5th and 6th beard are pushed together and if you look closely you can see the split at the base. The 7th beard is only and inch or so long.

Sounds like you had a great time. Is that your boy? It is great to get the young kids out in the field!!!

How long were the spurs? He looks like and old bugger. Nice work.

Spurs were 3/4 and all rounded off. Yeah thats my boy, the scowl on his face was because he was mad he didnt get to shoot it.
