Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

After hunting hard during our two week turkey season, while working in the back yard I hear a turkey clucking.I looked through the woods and yap there was a hen just a clucking.LOL it was fun to watch, but surprised it was that close to houses.

Friend of mine has them come right into his yard....in town. They had a dust bowl right next to the sandbox!

Three or four days ago, just before most of the
Snow melted. I saw a set of Turkey tracks that
Went up onto someone's steps, right to the
Door and then milled about like they were
Waiting to be invited in to lunch.

Last year I saw several Turkeys up on
Someone's deck, waiting for the birds to knock seeds
Down from a feeder above their heads.

Ready for this one--- a couple years back
I was driving along and noticed an old
(White haired) lady, making a throwing
Motion with her arm. As I got closer I
Could see about a dozen big chickens
Leaping into the sit and running around
Within feet of her. A little closer, and
I realized they were wild---no not tame
Turkeys. I almost stopped to ask if she would
Like to go Turkey hunting with me--- but
I was pretty sure it wouldn't go over
Well. So, I went a quarter mile down the road
And got permission from someone I knew.
Still haven't been back to hunt that spot---
So short a season and so many places to hunt.

My brother in law has a flock coming into his yard and the gobblers were strutting. He lives in a rural area on top of a ridge. Guess where I will be in spring gobbler season.

My Mom and Dad used to feed them at the farm.
I would joke "I am going to blast em from the porch Mom" she would reply with a scowl and a slight smile "You do and your out they are beautiful"!!!
Funny she has no problem eating them at my house lol
