Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Yep ready to go. Plan on trying to take a few with the bow also.

P.S. Your shot placement on the DSD jake was a little high I think

I think I'm going to give it my first shot this year, so I'm getting pretty excited. I've located a few public areas that look promising and will start scouting them in the next few weeks (still rabbit hunting now).

Unfortunately, there's probably a good bit of pressure around here and we aren't exactly rolling in the birds either, so it may be a difficult pursuit.

But, nothing worth doing is ever easy and you can't win if you don't join the race.

And rubbin's racin'.

Good luck everyone.

Warm day yesterday in Maine, low 50's and heard the
first couple gobbles of 2013, I'm definitely ready to
give my new shotgun a try.

Default me ready

shot three this winter, so, i never really did get un ready. as i was pheasant hunting i was able to keep track of the birds, still there. by the way, while hunting this winter i saw, as they were leaving a feed area to go to roost, a flock that by actual count had 527 birds in it. they left the field nose to butt so they were easy to keep track of. i'll set up my blind about the 10th of march, pretty quick away, as i plan on bow hunting them opening day 4/1 i and have 9 days before i am forced to shoot one with my 14 ga. actually don't expect that i will need too. can't run my gsp, turkey will just have to do

cheers

I have to hunt public land for the first time this year. Not happy about it but still excited and ready to knock down a Thunder Chicken!
