Setup were you seen him strutting and WAIT! He likes that place and probably visits it daily around the same time. They'll still come to calls, just quietly so be still and ready!! Some times there's a lull in gobbling, but it should pick back up. Our woods are pretty grew which is making them harder to hear if your not close. Call every 15min or so and wait him out, it can be a long hunt but you'll bust one that way! Good luck!

I hunt several WMA near there, the birds did not gobble until late this year. I think the warmer weather has them further along than normal.
My brother was in Green Swamp this past weekend and they did not hear anything either.
Just keep after them. Set up in areas you have seen them and wait em out. The hens should be close to being on the nest, and the gobblers will be out searching for other hens.

If there was anything I learned about the Osecola was that it was more happy being quiet. Hunt them like they want. Calling can turn them off , so be very humble with any calling and use a decoy and watch for quiet in comers.

I always found the 5:00pm was the magical hour...

I don't know if you ever hunted fall gobblers. But there is no Runnin and gunnin. A whole lot of sit and wait. And enough calling here and there. To let them know your there. In most cases during the lull. Hens don't squawk much either. But they still manage to meet up. Subtle calling and ton of patience. Silent birds test ya. But on public grounds, when hunt public grounds. I prefer silent birds. They don't attract attention.
