I have many fellow hunters tell me the best screw-in chokes are the extended ones, they've also told me they have had problems with the ported kind, told me they like the non ported. Carlson's is the cheapest I've seen online so far. I have no need for them because I only have shotguns with fixed chokes.

I also use the H.S. Undertaker, have used on both an 870 and a Benelli Supernova. No complaints. I don't think you can look at choke tubes in a vacuum. Depends on the gun and ammo you use it with to an extent. You really just have to pattern it and it may take a few attempts (which sucks as it can get expensive).
