Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Thumbs up The Magnificent 7

Took 3 days off to Deer hunt my last being yesterday. It was awful warm and the wind could blow the feathers off a Turkey and leave him standing naked if not in a valley sheilded from it. Saw one Deer all day but the Turkeys did not seem to mind the weather. At 9:30 I saw 7 longbeards coming toward my Deer stand and I was wishing it was december the 3rd. here in Indiana for the second phase of our Turkey season. I would have shot any one of them but 2 were exceptional birds,22 lbs. or more and beards dragging the ground.I had hoped to get some pics but when I raised my cell phone to get ready one spotted the movement and game over. They moved slowly in the other direction, the eyesight of these birds is excellent for sure. I hope to get back out there with all my Deer desires fullfilled and hunt these big ole Toms to close out 2011,wish me luck ya'll.

Hold that spot for the spring, and try to find where they're roosting. I'm guessing you'll be dreaming of longbeards dragging in the leaves this fall.

Good Luck!

You bet,saw nearly 50 in the last 4 days deer hunting. I had 12 fly right over me while in my stand. Some guy on a 4 wheeler flushed them out of a near by field, that was pretty cool seeing them do a fly by.

I don't know if its the warmer weather or what but I quit counting all the Turkeys I have seen in fields the last couple of weeks. I hope they show up when our late season opens on the 3rd. of December all the way to January 2nd. I'm going to give it my best effort with the Bow.
