One at 43 steps another at 46 steps. Didn't realize they were that far. Both with 3" 5 shot.

My longest shot was 27 yards, and that was with my 20 gauge when i was 13 years old

mis judged the distance 55 paces 835 mossberg xxfull choke #5 federals.coolest hunt had 5 toms come in a open field 20yds to my left walked past the dekes to 3 live birds about a hundered yards out,they stuck with them, but every time i called they all 5 would gobble back. bout a half hour later when the hens moved down the field all 5 came to the dekes. never give up calling.

Mine was dead even at 50 yards, flying to my left as we broke a fall Gobbler group up, 12 ga Charles Daly with 3.5 express mag winchester! 23 and half pounds, 1 1/4 spurs and 10 inch beard. Yea man, smoked em!

Well, I cannot really say that I am proud of my longest shot, but it was very impressive! I was twelve years old and I was on my first turkey hunt. I was on top of the world until evening started creeping up on me. It was a fall hunt and it was the last day of the hunt. I wanted to kill a turkey very badly. We sat in a spot where we usually see turkeys and got ready. Unfortunately the turkeys came in at about ninety yards. I waited until the closest one gave me a shot and I took it. We guessed it at 85 yards when it was all said and done. I had my trusty win. model 1300 12guage using a remington #4 3incher. I have never had trouble nailing turks at long distances with that combination.:)

I was out the next year and I took one at 50yds. that is still pretty long!

The longest I ever made or took, was 41 steps. I shoot a Win. Model 1300, using Fed. or Win. (like both), I use #5 and sometimes #6 shot. Both brands and shot size work well out of the 1300.
