Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default New Turkey Gun

Hello everyone,

I have been turkey hunting with a Benelli SBE for the last 8 years or so, and have never had a problem with it. It has been a great all around shotgun, but now I'm in the market for a new turkey gun.

What I am looking for is an 12 gauge over/under that will shoot 3.5" shells, and wanted to know if anyone has a model they have hunted birds with and can recommend. I'de prefer it to be camo, but if not I am willing to get it dipped. Right now I'm looking at the Browning Cynergy, I don't mind the non-traditional style. I appreciate any input!

I own a Browning Cynergy and love it !

However, it's not my turkey gun....................

I use my Beretta Extrema, doubles as my waterfowl gun also.

Stick with the browning, great gun, invector chokes rock, you will have a nice turkey gun.

A buddy from Arkansas dips, he owns opperates Camo solutions. Also, shoots a Over/under for Turkee Birds.

Few Links to him:

Personally I like a pump for Turkey hunting. 20-24" Barrel and a red dot scope. And no sling because all they do is get caught on something. I have a Mossberg 835 and its a great gun. I've shot 6 turkeys with it and my Dad has shot 5 turkeys with it. These are the two I would recommend. The 535 cost $671 and the 835 cost $674. Not quite sure of the differences but I believe the 835 is better.

Also I wouldn't recommend a o/u for turkey hunting but there are people who do it. And there isn't too many o/u's that are capable of handling a 3.5" shell.

Does a "Catseye Rifle Scope 3-12x44RGBGE" go with a turkey gun? I plan to get one for a turkey hunt recently.

Well, if you get something and need it dipped, I can do that for you.
