Just wanted to share with my fellow turkey hunters some news which I am beeming with pride.....My 10 year old son passed his 16 hour hunter education course and can legally hunt next spring with me, his dad. I am so proud of him and am looking forward to experiencing our first hunting season together next April.

I made an offer to him that if he passed he' ll be the proud owner of a youth model 20 gauge shotgun this Christmas. I' m leaning towards the Remington 870 youth model, but have not ruled out the Mossberg Bantam 20 gauge youth or the Benelli 20 gauge Nova (which I' m not sure is offered in a youth model). Any suggestions/recommendations?
Thanks for sharing a proud moment for a hunting dad!

Way to go
Man I' m jealous, I have to wait about 7 more years til my Daughter is old enough to try it
You' ll have a blast, my Dad is still my main hunting partner. I couldn' t imagine not doing it without him. I' m taking a trip to Montana in Sept and he couldn' t go, and I keep thinking about that if I am successful, he won' t be there to experience it with me
