joe,EFH,and phil from the coldest state in america(ha) thank yall for taking time to reply to my post...I really roughed up a spot with 80 grit on my ring zone ceramic pot and combined with a rosewood striker and the correct pressure i'm able to produce a fluttering or oscillating purr just like ive been trying to do...
P.S. has anyone ever expirimented with different cuts on the tip of your striker I.E chisel or bevel points...I did and it will produce some different effects.

You are more than welcome.. Your asking questions along with others asking and answering gets me thinking on different types of calling.. I am pleased to say that I have tagged out this year. I shot my second bird this morning although it is only a bearded jake I am still very happy with this years season..
