Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default 2011 - silent Tom turkey coming in

I wish I filmed when we first saw this bird - he came out in the far field - and though its had to tell how far away that is in the video - its about 1/2 mile!

Some extra loud yelps and several LOUD toms 150 yds to the left - that REFUSED to come in got this bird's attention from a long ways off. We joked about him coming in - but before he disapeared in the valley below - we thought maybe he spotted our decoy setup - heard the commotion - and was coming!

Sure enough - 20 minutes later - he crested the rise. Never gobbled once - came in on a string the whole way. 9" beard - 20 lbs - spurs just under 1".

A MEMORABLE hunt!

Very nice. The fact that he was silent leads me to believe that there's probably another, bigger gobbler in the area. One who is not afraid to gobble. That's the joker I wanna see your video of.
