Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Never had the opportunity to hunt birds in the afternoon. We have to stop at 1, what is the law on shooting them in the afternoon? Can't shoot them when they get into the trees I assume...

If you shoot a bird out of a tree, please do not call yourself a turkey hunter

Here in Ontario the afternoon stops at 7:00pm which is good because the regs here support roost shooting

The setups are a little different and I do find decoys a must on setups at most times. Gobblers tend to sneek into the coys quiet. I don't find they answer calls right away like a morning bird and you may or may not hear a responds after a call.

In Florida it was the same but I found the osceola's tend to spit and drum coming to a setup and you will suddenly here the PUTTTT RUUUMMMMMMMMMM a rea charge for us that like to wait out a tom.

Feeding areas seem to be the location of setups in the early afternoon as the gobblers seem to feed just before fly up. Oak hammic's or fields of food sorce is the best locations to spend your time....
