Shotgun Turkey Sights
I have a Remington 870 12 guage shotgun that I turkey hunt with. I would like to mount a red dot sight on it. Does anyone know of a good quality sight that can be mounted on this shotgun? Also, is it possible to mount myself or do I need to take it to a gunsmith? Weaver makes a sight mount that apparantly fits the Remington 870 but I don't know anything about it. If it matters, my shotgun is black and has a composite stock. Thanks.

UTG makes a rail that fits the Mossy 500 for ~$10. I'd imagine they have one for the 870 as well. Also, The screws are supplied with the mount. So long as you have basic hand tools you should be fine.
as far as sights go, it largely depends on how much you want to spend. I like BSA and Bushnell. They have a friendly pricepoint and seem to hold up well. Although I havent used one on a shotgun, the BSA has worked wonders on my tapco sks
