"just a hen" HUH?! :)
That means a smaller target, and arguably more wary than a Tom or Jake! Anything you take at close range with a stick n string is a trophy! I have only killed on turkey with a bow, and it is a great feeling!! Good for you, you should be proud!! PS. just whiffed a huge buck at 35 yards and he was standing broadside :rolleyes: |
Good job, definitely something to be proud of with a bow.

Had no idea
Wow! Not that I didnt believe you but I had to research that a bit on your legal right to hunt unposted land. Seems crazy to me for this area but seeing as how in my search I found that 94% of the land in Maine is privately owned I can see why you have that right.

Where I live, what they call that is Road Hunting.
Very Illegal. It's not really hunting - but just driving around until you see something and then jumping out of the truck and shooting it.

Wow, this is weird! I've never heard of such a thing. I've hunted in three states and every one considers private property to be private!
What state are you in?

My name states what state I am in.. That is the way the law is up here. You must post your land if you do not want hunters on it. It a way of life up here..
