It would be hard for me to mention everyone by name - to thank them for helping me through my very first turkey season.... Although I didn't kill a turkey - I did come VERY CLOSE! Needless to say, I am 100% addicted and I absolutely LOVE it!!!
Special thank you to JW, Ridge Runner, x-mountie, mudchicken, j76, mouthcaller ...

This was my first full season of trying to get one. Last year I tried after most of the season had past. I never got one either but did miss one with my bow the last day out. I was fortunate to see quite a bit of wildlife though. I got to see 4 moose, 4 deer, 1 bear,1 bobcat, 1 coyote,1 fox, 2 different types of hawks, as well as several hens with poults running around them on my last 2 days of hunting. So all and all it was still a great season..

jepcho - you're right - I've talked to a lot of people who didn't kill a turkey until their 4th or 5th season... I was HOOKED opening morning - when we had 10-12 turkeys gobbling from the roost all around us!!! That was the same thing that hooked my husband... It was simply AMAZING ... the anticipation, waiting for them to come down off the roost was nothing short of THRILLING!!!
Phil: Sounds awesome to have seen some of the wildlife you were able to see!!! I'm with you, just getting out there and being surrounded by the wildlife makes it a great season! Even though I didn't get a bird - I still consider my season a success! I was out every day (10-12 hrs) and learned so much and loved every minute of it.
The other evening, my husband and I drove to one of my spots and there those turkeys were in the field... Call me a sissy - but I had tears in my eyes - because I really really missed being out there!!! Dang turkeys!!! LOL
