Default Need Help For Long-Term Turkey Hunting HNI Members

I feel obligated to do this as I feel I have broken a promise. One of the first years of me joining HNI, in 2004 or 2005 I believe, I was given a present by an HNI member. He made me a slate call, free of charge, and asked that I only send him some pictures of birds that the call was taken with.

I kept the PMs until some of the site changes the past few years and they were lost.

I never really got into calling turkeys (as I grew up running and gunning) but last year I told myself I was going to settle down and learn these birds better.

In Spring 2009 I called in a gorgeousdouble to 10 yards with the aid of this call.

Spring 2010, I called in four different toms, all in the fate of the hunters (my friends, my dad, and myself).

I feel it is only right to thank the person who has done this for me, it's hard to find sportsman like this and I'd personally like to thank you, as well as get you those pictures.

If anyone knows who this may be I would like to contact them.

Thank-you, buckhunter14

Post a pic of the call, that may help with the person recognising it.

Sounds like your well underway and have to say its nice to see some of the members crediting past members for the time they spend and the tips to try and help.

Great thread stick around...

Default this is what ive got

The names stated above are very familiar. I know I have read them on HNI before and one of them may very well be the one who made the call for me.

I dug up some photos, in the last photo is the call that was made for me and was used in part of taking each of these birds.

Last year spring, my dad and my double.

My 2010 bird, may 22.

My dad's bird from May 25, 2010. The call is in his left hand. I was given the slate pot along with a wooden striker and a plexi glass type striker.
