Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Dave Smith Decoys

I am very interested in this decoy and several of you guys have posted how awsome they are. I have a few questions about them. I am pretty sure they are not collapsable(sp)...are they? What is the texture, meaning will every limb or stick make a loud noise when it comes into contact. I had a very beautiful, hand painted hen a few years back, but she was plastic and god awful loud...I also have the B-Mobile and while he is sort of hard he does not "ping" on brush. Please give me any info relating to hunting with the decoys, I can already tell they are beautiful and will get the job done once the turkeys see them, but I am more concerned with getting to that point. Thanks in advance.

The new ones are collapsible to an extent from what I have heard. They say that there like a nerf ball. The paint on them is suppose to be really good as well.

I see H.S Strut came out with a couple real nice decoys as well. They resemble the DSDs and look to be constructed nearly as well. The H.S. Hard decoys (like those of the DSDs) are $99.99.. But they make a softer and collapsible batch (that look nearly as good) for about $30 and $40..

Here are the links..

I believe that these decoys are of the "Hard-Body" design, meaning that they do not fold up. They are made from a hard plastic material and come with a bag. Personally, I prefer ones that are able to be folded up and stored in a decoy bag. I can carry three deeeks that way. Who wants to carry three of these kind around the woods? Here's a link.
