3" 2oz or 3.5" 2.25oz?????

I am really looking at that new load, along with the straight 7s in 3.5". I have been shooting the Nitro Triplex 4X5X7 3.5-2.25.

If it performs similarly to Nitros I may just switch. Nitro's are getting hard to get and they are rediculously expensive. With the $5.00 rebate Hevi-13 looks cheap comparatively.

I'd be very interested to see how those pattern for you as well. Please do post your results here when you get the chance to try them out.

Are you gonna cut one open to see how many of each size pellet is in the shell? I saw pics of some shot out of one on a different forum and it looked like it was all the same size shot to me.

I just finished patterning those same 3 1/2", 21/4 oz loads (5,6,7) in my gun. Insane!!!! Im averaging close to 250 pellets in 10" at 40 yards with those puppies out of my 655 choke. i thought I may be too tight constricted for the hevi shot, but was delighted with what I saw. 40 yards has about 50 skull/ vertebrate direct hits on the HS turkey targets. Thirty yards is complete oblivion. Dang salty at $30 for only five shots- $6 every time you pull the trigger, OUCH) but I'm a convert. Still tight enough at thirty yards that a miss would be possible if I'm not steady on the shot execution. over 90% of the pattren is in the inner 16" by my best estimate at 40 yards...very few flyers, and VERY uniform. Hard to find a hole much bigger than a quarter anywhere in the core. Interestingly, these shot dead center of my sights, compared to my previous Winchester loads that routinely centered about 8" left for me at the same distance.

$30? Cabelas has them for $20 for the 3 in. and $22 for the 3.5 in. and there is a $5 rebate. There is a nice review on Old Gobbler Forum.
