taking body shots???

I'd say you'd cripple more birds than you killed. And the ones you did kill would have you spitting BBs out on your plate at dinner time.

If your dead set on body shots, #4 hevishot will have the best penetration and knockdown power. That being said, especially as a gun hunter, why take body shots? up your sights a few inches and take the head/neck shot with #6 winchesters, its cheaper and more lethal

#4 and smaller shot in Missouri. I use my 7 1/2's that I use for quail or squirrels. If you call em close shot size does'nt matter. I'm usually more concerned about not hitting my feet, or decoy's, than missing the turkey.
