Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Barrel & choke vs. shell size

Being new to turkey hunting, I ask your advice on the following. I have two shotgun options to choose from. Both shotguns are 12 ga., the first is a pump action 28 in. barrel w/ modified choke and a 3 in. chamber. The second is a semi-auto 30 in. barrel w/ full choke and a 2 3/4 in. chamber. In your opinion(s), which would offer me the better choice. Both shotguns are fixed choke.

Default

the full choke for turkey, if you want to hunt any other wildfowl you will want a shotgun with interchangable chokes. 2 3/4" will work fine for turkey
