This happened 2 mornings in a row. It was after 6:00 am and the sun was coming up but both days turned out to be ok.
Yesterday at 9:00am,there was hunters everywhere do to the holliday but we found a open pc of land that was not being hunted and Mrs BossTom shot her 2nd bird,19.5,8inBD,1inspurs.
This morning the same thing I never left the house untill 9:30am and at 11:00am Sharp I was standing on the neck of my 2nd bird, 21lb, 9in BD,3/4spurs. The birds seem to be working well in the later part of the morning...BT

BT, I kill the majority of my longbeards later in the morning than off the roost, especially on new ground or areas I haven' t scouted.Sometimes the birds will become much more active later in the morning on into the afternoon when hunting high pressure zones!Sometimes starting later is a great tactic just because of early pressure! Also them ole hens gotta start nesting or laying sometime and can leave ole longbeard all by his lonesome!
Congrats on the birds buddy, post them when you get a chance!!
