Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default gave the 870 a face lift!

I ordered a new Boyd's thumbhole stock for my 870 about two months ago and it FINALLY came in. I just finished installing it this afternoon and I love it! Not only do I think it makes it look nasty, it is super comfortable! The raised cheek piece makes a huge difference over the plain factory stock, it lines up with the scope perfect! Let me know what you think

The pictures are from a cell phone that's why they are a little fuzzy, but you get the idea haha

Awesome! How much did that cost? I have an 870 that I'd like to tinker with.

Well I wish I could tell you I got some great bargain but it was fairly pricey haha. I got the stock set from Cabelas and at $137 bucks that was the cheapest I could find it. But it was exactly what I wanted so I said the hell with it and bought it anyway. The good news is that it was super easy to install, and it looks and feels great. She just got a trigger job done too, eliminated almost all the creep and breaks nice and crisp.

I'm currently upgrading my 870 as well with a shurshot stock. One thing that I found is removing the forearm nut on a 20+ year old 870 is a sunofabitch and I had to order a special tool from midway to remove it. I tried to do it with a pair of needlenose pliers and I nearly ruined the forearmtube piece.

Your gun looks great BTW!
