Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

here it goes.

if you are shooting duplex or triplex loads..wouldnt the smaller pellets hit the turkey first? say you have nitro 4x5x7 shot or something like that. i would think that if you have a bird at 40 + yards the 4 and even the 5 shot would get left behind in the air.so i thinkthe 7 shot would drop the turkey before the 4 or 5 shot even reaches it.

i bet if we had a slow-mo shot of duplex loads the smallerpellets would fly much faster then the bigger pellets

maybe? maybe not?

I think you are right that there is probably some difference in speed due to the difference in size. But because shots at turkey are generally very close (i'd say the majority are shot under 40 yards) the difference in speed would be so imperceptible that it wouldn't matter. That's just my educated guess but i would be very interested if someone much smarter then me had a technical answer to this question.
