I just got back from a scouting trip. Saw lots of turkeys on private land where I can't hunt; ain't it always that way. They'renot really gobbling yet, but I did see a few flocks starting toform and I videoed part of a jake fight.

Anyways Ikept at it, and looka what I found the last morning of the trip...somebody's starting to strut his stuff. If he can last the next 27 days, I'll be there on the am of Mar 23...with bow in hand to welcome him.

I've been doing a little scouting lately myself, and I've found what appears to be a turkey highway, a logging road that come ups from a large hardwood bottom to a small rye field. There are tracks everywhere. I can't wait for March 21st to get out there! Looks like a big gobbler from those pics, by the way.
