Well, a few weekends ago my dad and me went out turkey hunting. We had three walk up on us and dad reached for his slate, the back turkey saw him move and he says, " shoot Rye, shoot...hurry up and shoot."

All the time I' m looking for heads of the front two turkeys, trying to find one of them to cap when I hear a...BOOM!!!

Dad wastes the back one, and I' m left with jack squat. He kept asking me why I didn' t shoot, and I told him that I didn' t have a shot on any of the front ones. So quite frankly, if dad wouldn' t' ve had a gun in his hand, I would' ve had a turkey.

It was a good bird too...9 1/2 beard, 3/4' s spurs, and 18 pounds.
