RE: 2 Q's
I have used a Remington 870 for many years with no camoas stated above it's all in staying still, if your not moving they cant see you, a non camoed gun just looks like a black stick in the woods.
I saved my first wing, put boraxon the fleshy part (where it comes of the body) the next season I used it hunting. At fly down Ihit it against bushes and a tree to simulate a hen flying down and some times at the same time I will do a fly down cackle with a mouth call, works great! they think they have a hot one! |
RE: 2 Q's
Don't forget that wing. Save one as mentioned above and use the other to make a Wingbone call which is probably the oldest known turkey call known to man!
The gun - mine is not camo and will stay that ay for life. JW |

RE: 2 Q's
I use my cap to simulate fly down but I think a wing would be great.

RE: 2 Q's
use either borax or salt and put them between 2 pieces of card board and tack them together. you dont need a camo gun to kill a turkey. the only camo is used for is looks. my dad uses a 870 wood stock and kills turkey every year
