For the first question i have heard of people saving the turkey wings so they could use them to simulate fly down in the mornings. i would think letting the wing dry out in borax would preserve it. and for the second i have killed plenty of turkeys with a non camo gun.

Once it dries, it will retain that shape. I use them for both simulating flydown, as well as use the wings on full strut decoys.
Don't worry about the camo gun. The lack of movement is much more important!!
If you're set on camo, I suggest having the gun dipped, or, purchasing a como shotgun. Tapes either do not work, or leave a residue.

camo gun. no you dont need one
for the wing there are lots of things you can do. like said some use it for a flydown. since this will be your first you could use them in a simple wings and beard display.

I'm not sure about the wing. But for the gun, it doesn't need to be camo. My gun right now is in Max-4, but I killed my first couple with a special edition Winchester 1300 that had a wierd color stock.. A bunch of bright ones. It's not needed though, my dad's gun right now isn't camo, he's killed his last 15ish turkeys with it.

Camo on your gun isn't necessary, turkeys are more apt to pick up movement before your gun.
One thing you might consider with your first turkey wings is having a wingbone call made from them. I know there are guys who will do this for free if they can keep the other wing to make a call for themselves.
