Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Turkey hunting mask.

I am always thinking about those toms and it is never to early in planning your hunts for Spring. So my question is, What kind of mask do you use? I have one in MOBU, it is a full head and neck cover with draw strings in the back which makes it a good snug fit. I guess you can say that I am in the market for a new mask. [/align]

I use a flat panel face shield. I went away from the full head masks - Full head nets caused to much foggin of glasses for me. Withmy hat pulled down low and this flat panel it keeps my glasses from foggin as I get excited.

Oh and it is reversable. The back side is all black. I turn it around if I am inside my DB blind as the interieor is all black.

I use a half mask. Its just an elastic band with about eight inches of camo cloth hanging down from it. You can hang it around your neck until you have a gobbler fired up and coming in, then just pull it up over your nose. With a camo cap pulled down low, you have full face camouflage and your eyes and ears are unobstructed.

I use a 3/4 mask. I keep it pulled down around my neck until I get set-up, then pull it up over my face. I like it better than the full ones just cuz its easy to pull down when you dont want your face covered.

How do you like the 3d? I have used the half masks, the drop down face sheilds. Just have yet to find something I really like.

By season end I have usually returned to the face paint. Don't have to worry about walking along and not having mask in place or bothering my view.

I too use a half mask for all the reasons struttin gobbler mentioned, plus they are much more comfortable than wearing one that covers your hair. A full head mask or any mask that covers my hair itches me to death!

I like it fine. It seems to wear well. I wear glasses and it does not fog them up, and it fits snug enough on the sides of my glasses that it does not mess up my field of view.
You know I have not tried face paint for turkey hunting.....I might have to try that this year.
