new gun

i got a new rem 870 SPS super magnum. it has a 24 inch barrel. on the choke tube it says lead shot only. if i got an other choke tube can i use steel shot with this gun? can i use steel shot now?

Your gun will shoot steel, your choke tube will shoot lead or lead substitute but not steel

All u need to do is buy a steel shot choke tube...

I'm guessing your choke is a full choke. Just go get another choke, like IC or modified, etc.

Just realised. This is the turkey forum, I thought I click on waterfowl[&:]. For turkeys I'd say use the full or get an extra full turkey choke.
Why shoot steel shot out of a turkey gun?
