Good going there bogobble! I still have to wait 12 days before I get to take a crack at getting one. Hopefully I can do as good as you. If not, it will be great just getting out and try for one.

Congrats on the bird bo. Dad was sittin right beside me and blew ones head off this morning. Dang punk. Three big birds walked up, dad starts saying " shoot it" when I can' t see any of them. So he capitalized on the opportunity and shot the turkey...which I should' ve killed.
A bunch of our huntin buds got one this morning. The season' s lookin mighty fine. We heard gobbles everywhere!
Well, congrats again. You' re name ain' t " bogobble" for nothin. You' re a turkey slayer.

Ok, this is my story and I' m stickin t-t-to-it
I got in my spot right before light. he gobbled, and he wadn' t but about 150 yds from me. I walked on down the log road I was on to get on the back side of him.
I was tryin to find a place to set up, and busted 2 turkeys off the roost. I figured that was in my favor, because he heard the hens fly off the roost in my direction.
I set my deeks up and got up against a pine(this is a pine plantation) he gobbled good on the roost. I yelped with my quaker boy mouth call to let him know I was there, and had just flew down he went silent, and I waited about 5 minutes, and decided I' d better call to find out where he was at. I cut a few times on my ole yellow, and he gobbled about 60 yds out in front of me. I put my call down and got my gun up and ready. about 5 minutes later I spotted him silghtly angled to my right in full strutt. he strutted right on up to my deeks and I rolled him with my winchester 3" #5' s. this is only the 4th turkey I' ve called straight off the roost. the rest I' ve killed have been between 9:00 and 1:00.
