Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default First Eastern Turkey

After weeks of scouting and reading every bit of information I could secure, I have shot my first turkey. I did it this morning around 8:00 a.m. E.S.T. and it was all that I anticipated it to be. He came in quietly, saw my feather flex decoys and started to strut for my hens. He had a beautiful blue/red head and was a magnificant specticle. He weighed in at 20.5 lbs, had a 10 3/4" beard, and had 1" spurs. THANKS FOR ALL OF YOU ON THIS POST WHO FREELY AND ENDLESSLY SUPPLY INFORMATION TO NEW HUNTERS!! It was and will continue to be a source of information in the future.

The 1st one is always the toughest, at least, until you are after your next tom!

That' s a great bird for your 1st.
