RE: Scopes for Mr. Turkey?????
Iwanted a scope because I shot a turkey a couple of years ago with a friends gun, I liked the scope idea. I bought a Bushnell Trophy today and set it up and shot it. I think I like it, it is easy to use too. Also has 4 different reticles.
Heres that turkey I shot with the scope. Thanks for input! ![]() |
RE: Scopes for Mr. Turkey?????
I have a red dot scope and I love it. it is the comp 45 I think.. or somthing like that.
It is nice because early in the morning you can turn down the intensity so it does not blind you. I would however not reccommend any of the smaller diameter tube red dot scope, I have never tried one but every one that has one that tries mine loved mine much more. |
RE: Scopes for Mr. Turkey?????
I have a Leupold Vari-XII 1x4 shotgun scope on my Remington 870. This will be the 10th year I have used that combination. I had the gun drilled and tapped by a professional gunsmith, using a Weaver 1 pc. base made for a Remington semi-auto rifle. The semi auto rifle has the same receiver contour as the 870. This outfit has served me well....never had a problem with it. The person doing the drilling needs to know what they are doing though before they go punching holes in your receiver to avoid what happened to Gobblenutt. If done correctly by a professional, you will have a fantastic turkey slaying machine!! ;)
