RE: What do you think is the best turkey call?
Or practice to the real sounds that are posted above on this forum.
For real turkey voices and an instructional CD of what the bird is saying it is hard to beat the CDs by Lovett Williams. Link http://www.turkeyhuntingsecrets.com/store/store-tapes-real-turkey-audio.htm For a typical Spring Gobble-Hen reaction in the woods it is hard to beat the NWTF CD - Real Turkey voices. http://www.nwtf.org/tips_adventures/tips.php?id=329 and a whole selection here http://www.midwestturkeycall.com/prodlist.asp?cat=CDs~and~Cassettes&dn=1&cc =T both are great investments as I have been listening to them each year for quite a few years now. Tune your ear to what is really out there - then master one call to mimic what you hear. And you will call turkeys. JW |

RE: What do you think is the best turkey call?
My first call was and is my fav. It was a used H.S. Strut glass call given to me by the hunter who got me hooked on turkeys! I still use that call to bring in gobblers about 18 years later.
I recommend H.S. glass friction calls because they still make good calls today and they last a lifetime! For distance calling the Mad high frequency friction call if they are there they will answer! That said I use mouth calls the most. |
