Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Team Eleven is on the board!!

From Saturday, April 12, score an Eastern at 59 points:
22.25 lbs.
1" & 7/8" spurs
9" beard

Not bad, respectable, and it will taste great.

Then, for Sunday, April 13, score another Eastern, this time at a monsterous 91.875 points:
22.125 lbs
1" & 1 1/8" spurs, and then five beards:
10" , 6 1/2" , 3 1/4" , 2 1/2" and 2" !!!

I' m having the five beards specially mounted.

Total score-----45.5

The gobbler was light this year probably because of the drought. Usually they weigh 17.5 lbs.

Managed to get two easterns in Ks. Both were jakes, and hunting was tough where we were. The first one weighed in at 17.5#, no spurs to measure with a 3" beard. So I figure 23.5. The second weighed in at 16#, no spurs with a 2" beard. So I figure a score of 20. Going to be some good eating, and I left all the big birds for next year
