i was wondering which of these two calls would be the most prefered as far as glass pots go. both are avaliable at walmart and both are about $18. the first one is the cody brand glass call with the regular wood striker and the other is the primos power crystal w/ the orange colored pot. i have heard good things about this one with the purple heart striker? what do you think? which would get your vote and why?

The Primos Crystal call is a much better call in my opion. I got the Wal-Mart version of the Cody call and was not happy. I condintioned the call with everything and still did not care for it. The Primos Crystal on the other hand has a great sound, easy to use once conditioned and holds the conditioning for a good while. I' m sure the more expensive Cody' s are worth their weight, but the wally world special is not.

i bought my walmart cody for like 7 bucks or something after season...the striker that came with it sounds like junk.....i can get it to sing with some of mine though.....i heard the power crystal too....i loved it....i couldnt decide between it or hte ol yeller which i ended up buying because my dad has a glass call..i figured the ol yeller sounds more diffrent...the crystal is definently the better call......i dont like my cody glass much....it works but i had to make alot of strikers to get a good one for it.....

Throw in another vote for the Primos Power Crystal. It is my #1 go to call. Keep in mind that I don' t have any high dollar custom calls either. You can' t go wrong with the Primos and a purpleheart striker IMHO.

I know TScott will be amazed to hear this but I am recommending the Primos Call. I know this will come as a shock as I am a Big Cody fan but the Cody Glass Does not sound near as nice as my Cody Envy glass call. My Cody Envy Glass has a wood sounding board under it wich really brings out the sound. I got to take a good look at the New (just came out this year) Cody Glass and it is just a single glass with no sounding board underneath it. I also own the primos power crystal and do like it very much. But at this time I would recomend you buy the primos call. As for the other calls made by Cody I would buy any of them they are all great except for the Cody Glass that Wal-mart sells. But if your looking at a Cody II or a Woodsman you won' t be disapointed.
