I killed a nice longbeard last spring on the second day of my weeks vacation. I was hunting with a friend of mine and he couldnt stay for the whole week so i asked him if he would take my gobbler home with him so i could keep hunting. Anyhow before i gave him my bird i cut the beard off and he kinda looked at me funny. Well the reason i cut the beard off is because i would not put anything past this guy. I really thought he might do something to my bird and i didn' t want him messing with the beard. Moral of the story is. Dont leave anything that means a lot to you just laying around so someone can take. There are only a few people in this world i trust and all 3 of them live in my house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya know what is really sad about that, is that somebody is going to try to brag about the double-bearded bird he got, when it' s all just a wet dream for whoever it was. As mad as you are, you gotta feel sorry for somebody that sad. (You would hope they could read this, but the gang that hangs around here wouldn' t fit the mold, ya know)

Sad to hear, there are so many out there that hunt but don' t get it, what kind of pride or memories can you get from that? I' ve had a deer rack and a 6x4 Bull Elk stolen from me. Wish we could get rid of those *&%$%# out of this sport. Gives us all a bad name too.

Obviously this guy is jealous. If after some more research the finger still points his way...I agree with Maytom. If he does it once he will try something again. Nip it in the bud. Who needs people like that around anyway ?
