Well right before I left for work today the mailman stopped by. He' s actually on my good list now
In the mail was a Custom BossTom purple heart & osage orange striker. For starters... any LSU fans would love this striker!!! This striker feels great, looks great and sounds great on the calls I had a chance to run it on. Really like it on " my" Sassafras slate over glass. Thanks Adrian for a great product!! Posting a pic that BossTom had used on ebay for this striker so you can see....

I' m the same way mauser. I' ve been looking at the lathe over at Home Depot by Rigid and the one at Harbor Freight http://www.harborfreight.com The guy who runs the stage department here at the college just bought the lathe from Harbor Freight and loves it. I went over to play with it the other night and was really impressed. He paid $200 for the lathe and stand which is a good deal from the others I have looked at. It' s very sturdy and doesnt' move at all, (he welded som stage weights to it to keep it from moving) I think I might have a small job coming up and I can' t wait... money for call making

I' ve ordered about a dozen or more strikers for myself and friends. BT through his hard efforts makes a good striker that sings. Purpleheart, Chesnut, walnut, cedar and his secret green are among my fav' s. Can' t wait to strike a gobbler![8D]

well i made two of them tonight and i am letting the glue dry on the cobs, sorry if it sounds dumb but i saw that i had some old corn cobs and i thought that i would put them on them to make them look kinda cool. i just grabbed two dowels out of my dads scrap wood pile and sanded them down to what i thought would be ok, didnt try them out yet but when i do i will let u know. who_else
