Hickory is sort of a standby when it comes to striker wood. Pick up a friction call with any surface and a hickory striker is gonna make it sing . My favorite on a glass call, however, is the laminated birch striker from Pete. Awesome balance and my preferred flare tip, Pete' s strikers are the best.
