here in the good ole state of ny the birds are rippin it up!

went out this morning and got a double with my friend. 2 jakes came running into my decoys gobbling up a storm. since we both have only shot 1 bird i was happy to take a jake. i shot one, dropped him at 30 yds. the other one started to run, my buddy shot his at 37 yds.

shortly after we decided to go to a different spot. i was using a mouth call...but nothing. i tried a gobble with it, and bam! he was about 80 yards str8 in front of us. out came a nice gobbler. it was my dads turn. he gobbled 24 times as he was coming in. my dad waled him at 40 yds, couldnt have been a better morning. 9.5 inch beard with 1 1/8 spurs.
