RE: Turkey decoys

I do not use decoys.
be very carefull when useing decoys. a couple years ago,I had my decoy shot by a hunter with a rifle.
I hollered at him and never saw him,I guess he sat real still or slipped away.

Scoob,no question for filming and bow hunting decoys are the ticket, but my personal preference is i leave em for someone else to buy!I also am on lets just say numerous successful set-ups in a given season working for a succesful guiding operation, and when our birds come into a set-up theres no need to keep them hanging around they either walk away or pay the price!!Sure I' ve used dekes many times and seen them work, but have had much more success putting more emphasis on my over-all set-up and directing my efforts elsewhere than putting my confidence in a deke! For many a deke is a confidence factor and thats there main reason for using one and more power to them!!But I can assure you, saving your money is not a bad idea because it can be done without the aid of a deke! IMHOBob;)

I just got a hen and jake pair made by Buckwing. They have the collapsible umbrella inside. They look real nice, but are real shiny. I may GENTLY try to dull them a touch, with some really fine 0000 steel wool, and go along the texture and pattern of the feathers.
