Which brand of turkey shot do you use and have you compared it to other brands.
I shoot federal 3" #4' s and I have compared them only to other federal sizes and
remingtons. Also I havent patterned my gun in a couple of years so I dont know how the newer brands are.

I use Federal Premiums 3" in #5 shot. They pattern the best with my gun/choke combo out of the Winchesters & Remingtons that I have tried.

In one gun I use Federal 3" #5 shot 2 oz the other I use Federal HV 3" 1 3/4 #6 shot. Both patterned better than winchester in my setups.

I' ve patterned them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have 3 turkey guns and they all like WINCHESTER turkey loads weather it' s double xx or the HV loads they all pattern the best. Now i have switched to the Remington Hevi Shot. I will soon be trying Nitro shells.. I' m pretty sure it will be Nitro or Remington this spring

Tried just about all and Winchester 3.5 #5 works best out of my set up.

Don`t listen to what other people shoot, find the one that shoots best out of your gun. After years of using Winchesters out of a Remington, I now shoot Remingtons out of a Browning.

If i was going to recomend a shell to some one just starting to pattern there gun i would tell them to start out with Win shells first and then try the others. From what i' ve seen over the years of being on these turkey hunting forums Winchester shell are the most used shells and for good reason. They are one of the best factory loads out there!!!!!!!!
