This year will be my first year turkey hunting. After seeing all the turkey were we firarms deer hunt in texas county, I have seen turkey there before but this year and last year the amount of turkey we have seen has been unreal, they have really made a come back there we have seen up to 40 turkey a day! Well anyway what would be the best style of choke for my 870 express, X-full or super full? With this being my first year of turkey hunting with a gun I am sure I will have a lot of reading to do and a lot of ?'s and look forward to tapping yalls knowelege of the sport of turkey hunting!!

I use the Rem factory x-full in my 11-87's and they work great can't see spending an extra $20 for another choke that does the same thing

i shoot the 870 and have had no problems so far with the undertaker choke. But before you decide on what one to buy decide on what shot type you will use and how heavy a load, loads of things should influence your decision.

start with about a .660, .665, or a .655

they all should give good patterns with #5 or 6 shot. I like the .660 myself but you have to find a shell & choke combo that works good in your gun.

I've had very good luck using the &quot;Tru-Glo&quot; Strutstopper choke tube. Sized .665, this tube patterned the best fron my Rem 11-87. Cost was $49.95 out of Midwest supply. <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

like birddog said, i would try the maddmax. it is also ported which will take some of the shoulder abuse out of your gun making for a very pleasant turkey gun.
