I just bought an ulti-mag 835 (mossberg) I have taken tukeys with several guns.
Believe it or not my favorite is a single shot stevens that I built from 3 guns.
I have killed over 40 turkeys with ol(RUSTY STEVENS). He was all rusty when I rescude him from a run down barn. I have a smith and wesson 12 ga. I call
lightnin' because he never strikes twice in the same place!!

Tarheel Turkey

Weapon of choice is a Remington 11-87 Super Express Magnum in MOBU. I have shot several loads and chokes but find that either Winchester 3" HV #6' s with MAD .655 tube or Remington HV Hevishot #6' s with Remington .675 Hevishot tube do the best. I purchased it before last season and took 3 birds with it .

I USE 2 GUNS FOR TURKEYS

REMINGTON 870 SPEC. PURPOSE TURKEY 23" 3 1/2" FED PREM #5

AMERICAN ARMS W/T OVER AND UNDER WITH XFULL IN ONE BARREL AND
MOD. IN THE OTHER. FED. PREM #5 IN XFULL AND FED PREM. # 6 IN
THE MOD, BOTH IN 3 1/2" . THIS GUN HAS SELECTIVE BARRELS SO IF A BIRD GETS IN REAL CLOSE I CAN SWITCH FROM THE XFULL TO THE MOD. FOR THE FIRST SHOT.

Pretty basic: a Win 1300 w/ Break-Up camo tape, Tru-glo front sight,
comp-n-choke XX-full.

When I' m dove or skeet shooting, I put in a Win factory IC choke, and swing away.

Rem 870 Super Mag SPS-T, throwing Win. #5' s. Last year used the xtra turkey full that came with the gun, but going to add a Tru-Glow .665 choke.[8D]

I use a Win. 1300 with a 28 inch barrel. I don' t have a lot of guns, but I figure it only takes one to get the job done.
