Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default my forst gobbler

hees not the biggest, but it was good for my first gobbler last spring. it was POURING outside one morning, but i went out anyways. I saw this bird on the edge of a big clover field, so i hit the woods to try to call him to me. i managed to get about 75 yards from him, he was still in the field. i set up on a big stump and hit my mouth call. as soon as i called he answered me about 3 times. my heart started a pumpin!! i called a few more times and he responded every time. i shut up, but he didnt. he ran all the way to me, about 15 yds away. i made a little cluck sound and he rose his head and i let him have it.

9 inch beard,1inch spurs, 18 lbs.

as you can see by the fan, he was beat up pretty bad, and soaking wet. his beard only had about 20 strands on it, which i thought was very odd.
