Default Here' s a paintbrush!!

Thought this would add to everyones fever a little more seeing as how were all slowly closing in on opening day!!This bad boy was taken by my boyhood bestest friend and my dad!!Pretty impressive beard,actually he' s got a small second beard to boot!!He' s right around the 11 1/2 inch class!Enjoy all!Bob

Mike,the bird weighed around 21lbs,but had only one spur that was only about a half inch!Where this bird was taken was notorious for birds sporting heavy multiple beards but very little when it came to spurs!I killed another tom bout a year later that sported 4 beards the longest about 9 inches and the smallest about 4 that was only about a mile from where this bigboy was harvested.That particular bird had just nubs for spurs!!I' ve seen the same thing in other areas leaving no doubt in my mind that beards,spurs,and even bearded hens and the way there characteristics are, have a whole lot to do with the genetical makeup of the birds in a given area.
