sorry guys, i just checked my link and the page is down. anyway a guy was out with his 6 y/o son turkey hunting. he thought he heard a gobbler in the bushes so what does he do? you guessed it, shoots into the bushes. when he goes to get his "bird" he finds a hunter dead. ive heard conflicting information about whether or not the hunter was using bird shot or OO buck shot, not that it matters! terrible story and a black eye for our sport. again i pray for both families.

It never costs anything to hold fire... but it can cost you or someone else everything to open fire. Terrible thing to happen in front of a young hunter.

Never shoot until your intended target is visible and identified, rule #1 of hunter safety is always point your gun in a "safe" direction i.e. at a gobblers head/neck! Be safe my friends!

Yeah, that is pretty sad! While it may be an accident, there should be some way to penalize the man, like loosing hunting rights for a while and taking some kind of saftey course. But it's pretty pathetic if you ask me! Here's a different link to the story.
