I hunt within 200 yds of my house. One deerstand and one blind I can hit with a rock from the porch, and I walk as far as a half mile to use the climbing stand. Turkeys I hunt all over the property, a half mile in any direction.

My hunting spots are anywhere from 10 to 50 miles from my house. Working on a spot this year that is .5 miles from the house. Ill be able to hunt every morning of the week if I score this killer property.

my leases are 12 miles away, but i've had turkey and deer in my yard already this year. can't get permission to hunt the land behind my house (several hundred acres). everything here is leased up. but i do practice calling to them, and have called them up to the back of the shop behind the house.

The two birds that were harvested on my land last year came from less than 300 yards behind the house. Most of my hunts begin by walking off the porch and hitting a locator call. Then it can either be a couple of hundred yard walk or half mile. There are a couple of other farms a mile or so from my house, but I prefer to take game off of my own land if possible.

I hunt turkey about an hour and a half away. All my other hunting is within 20 minutes away.

I've got at least 45 minutes to drive anywhere that I hunt. Very few exceptions. Sucks... but it is what it is. Better than not hunting at all!

You think that sucks huh... I've got at least 2.5 hour drive... A week end trip can average around 100.00 bucks... Now that sucks...You want to make it worse... Throw a bunch of hunting pressure in with it

I'll take a 45 minute drive to private land over my night mare
